- This year Sannyasa Peeth will be conducting the Vedparayan and Chaturmas anusthana from 23 June to 13 September. The Vedparayan, from 23rd June until the 9th of July, is an extraordinary, not to be missed opportunity to immerse in the sacred experience of shravana, by listening to all four Vedas. Chanted by learned pandits of Varanasi the mantras of the four vedas, are a direct transmission of vidya, the highest knowledge and infuse the environment with the wisdom of the rishis of ancient times, creating an experience of profound peace and serenity.
The months of Chaturmas at Sannyasa Peeth are a special and auspicious time, dedicated to sadhana and connection with the divine through a continuous flow of mantras, kirtan, sadhana, katha and aradhana and celebrations. The daily presence of Swami Niranjanananda and the wisdom and inspiration of satsang create an environment of profound spiritual energy surrounded by the sacred river Ganga.
7 to 10 July – the three-day celebration of Gurupoornima culminates on the auspicious day of Gurupoornima. For all spiritual aspirants, Guru Poornima is a time to open the heart, purify the mind and connect with the guru tattwa. Immerse in the energy and inspiration of guru. Renew the commitment to follow in the footsteps of the masters and tread the luminous path.
- 20 to 28 July – Ram Katha will be conducted over a nine-day period, revealing the teachings and wisdom of the Ramayana and its relevance to modern-day life. Come to receive the grace of Sri Rama, the maryada purushottam, an inspiration of living dharma at every stage of life.
- 7 to 9 August – Krishna Aradhana, a three-day celebration of Sri Krishna, is an opportunity to sing, dance and experience the joy and love that is the grace of Sri Krishna in life.
- 18 to 26 August – Swami Govindadeva Giri from Dharmasri Ashram, Pune, will deliver the Devi Bhagavat Katha, a nine day journey into the world of the divine Shakti, which is all-pervading. Her benevolent, nurturing and transformative aspects are the grace that sustains and supports all life.
- 8 to 12 September – During these five days the auspicious Sri Lakshmi-Narayana Mahayajna is conducted by learned pandits of Varanasi. Celebrated with chanting, havan, aradhana, daan and satsang, the grace of Sri Lakshmi and Narayana is invoked, for the peace, plenty and prosperity of all.
During Chaturmas the daily routine includes:
• Ramacharitamanas Masparayan, conducted besides the banks of the sacred Mother Ganga by the Ramayan Mandali Munger
• Chaturmas Morning Yoga Class
• Shravani Mantra SadhanaSeva and daan are an integral part of the sadhana of Chaturmas. This auspicious time brings many opportunities to connect with and contribute to the vision of sannyasa and the humanitarian mission of the spiritual masters.
