Hari Om,
The Greek group has just returned safely back from India, carrying the inspiration and blessings of its recent visit to the ashrams in India. For all of us who were there, the darshan of Swami Niranjanananda at Ganga Darshan was a deeply uplifting experience, and for those who also travelled to Rikhia, the darshan of Swami Satsangi at Rikhiapeeth was deeply profound. May the impressions of this yatra continue to guide and nourish us all in the days ahead.
We would like to share information that was also mentioned during darshan at Ganga Darshan: Ganga Darshan Vishwa Yogapeeth will be conducting the Padma Jayanti: Yoga Nidra Symposium from 19–22 November 2026. We are happy to invite sincere yoga aspirants to participate in this unique event, which will be conducted at the Bihar School of Yoga, India.
The Padma Jayanti celebrations form part of Sri Swami Satyananda’s Birth Centenary celebrations, observed by the Bihar School of Yoga as an eight-year period (2023–2031) dedicated to honoring and paying homage to Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati.
Over these four days, the extraordinary technique of Yoga Nidra, as originated and devised by Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati, will be expounded upon and practised. Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, the spiritual successor to Swami Satyananda Saraswati, will renew the intent, purpose, and method of Yoga Nidra as originally revealed by his Guru.

Sahayogis are welcome to attend all satsangs, but not the practical classes and sessions. There is no charge for Sahayogis. Sahayogis should ideally arrive at least two weeks before the commencement of the Symposium, be in good health, and be fully motivated to contribute their enthusiasm, skills, and goodwill to this event. Five years of Satyananda Yoga experience is not required for Sahayogis.
Greece coordination & next steps
Satyanandashram Hellas has been invited to coordinate applications from Greece. As coordinator, we will be collecting and submitting applications as a group representing our area. We will be informed by BSY when the official application forms and the detailed application procedure are available, and we will share these with you as soon as they are provided.
For now, we would be grateful if you could reply to this email at your earliest convenience to let us know:
- whether you are interested in attending as a participant, or
- whether you are interested in attending as a Sahayogi.
As places are limited, early expressions of interest are helpful.
We warmly encourage devotees, instructors, and students to take advantage of this very special opportunity to deepen their knowledge and experience of Satyananda Yoga Nidra, and to honour the invaluable legacy that Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati offered to humanity.
We look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
With best wishes,
Om Tat Sat
