Kriya Yoga is particularly suited to people of the modern age and can be practiced even by those who find it difficult to concentrate. However, it is a higher sadhana that requires commitment and sincerity.
When one begins to apply the kriyas in daily life as a sadhana, various dormant centers of the brain awaken and begin to blossom like flowers, allowing a complete transformation of the mind and body.
As a result, the practitioner’s life is transformed, and one gains inexhaustible energy and vitality, mental and emotional balance, expanded awareness, relaxation on all levels, and joy in life.
The Necessity of Preparation in Kriya Yoga
In Kriya Yoga, preparation is not optional; it is essential.
Without preparation, the body remains restless, the breath unstable, and the mind scattered.
In such a state, Kriya cannot function.
Preparation purifies the nadis, stabilizes the nervous system, and leads the mind into inner withdrawal (Pratyahara).
Only then does the practice cease to be mechanical and become an inner process.
As Swami Satyananda taught:
When the body is steady, the breath becomes calm, and the mind is focused,
then Kriya Yoga manifests naturally.
