Join us from 21 to 27 March at Satyanandashram Hellas for a program commemorating the 50th anniversary of Satyananda Yoga in Greece.

This year marks a golden milestone – 50 years of Satyananda Yoga in Greece. In 1976, Swami Sivamurti Saraswati arrived in Greece carrying a mission entrusted to her by her guru, Swami Satyananda Saraswati: to bring the transformative wisdom of Satyananda Yoga to all who seek a more conscious and meaningful life.

From Swami Sivamurti Saraswati’s first arrival to the vibrant life of Satyanandashram today, our enduring vision of service, sadhana, and inner transformation continues to inspire seekers throughout Greece and far beyond its shores.

In celebration of this Jubilee Year, Satyanandashram offers a special week-long program—an invitation to pause, reflect, and deepen your sadhana.

Program Highlights

During this transformative week, participants will experience:

  • Daily Chanting of powerful mantras
  • Daily Mahamrityunjaya Mantra chanting
  • Yoga sessions
  • Yoga Nidra of the Satyananda System of Yoga
  • Meditation sessions
  • Havan
  • Pooja
  • Kirtan

The highlight of these six days will be the celebration of 50 years of Satyananda Yoga in Greece & the Satsang with Swami Sivamurti Saraswati, Yoga Acharya and Founder of Satyanandashram Hellas.

Additional program features include:

  • Meditation and talks
  • Group projects
  • Seva Yoga (selfless service)
  • Celebratory events and evening gatherings

All sessions are designed to provide a holistic and deeply transformative experience.

The chantings will be guided by Sannyasin Mahesh, a practitioner deeply versed in the tradition of mantra chanting, ensuring authentic transmission and personal guidance throughout the program.

Benefits of Mantra Chanting

The word mantra was given to the vibrations as it means the power through which one can manage and free one’s mind.

Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati

Mantra chanting harmonizes every level of being:

  • cultivate mental clarity
  • Calms the nervous system
  • Focuses the mind
  • Uplifts the spirit
  • Purifies and energizes
  • Awakens inner peace

It gradually reconnects participants with the innate happiness within.

Sound is a force, and this force affects a certain part of the universe and creates ripples in the vast ocean of the cosmos… When the mind is one-pointed, its frequency is high. The mind is a part of the cosmic mind.

                                                                                Swami Satyananda Saraswati
