During these five days the life and teachings of two of the greatest spiritual masters of recent times, Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati and Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati are celebrated. The program will include glimpses into their invaluable legacy to humankind.

Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati’s Birthday
Having dedicated his entire life to helping others, his teachings continue to influence and transform the lives of millions not only in India but around the globe. Sri Swami Sivananda is famous for his eightfold path of Serve, Love, Give, Purify, Do good, Be good, Meditate, Realize. He also created the inspiring 18 ITIES or cardinal virtues, which are important qualities to imbibe in one’s life for success in both material and spiritual life.

His boundless generosity, compassion and service to humankind represent an ideal to aspire towards in one’s spiritual path.

Swami Sivananda was the humblest of the humble, the kindest of the kind, the warmest of the warm, the greatest among the great, and today his effulgence permeates and kindles the hearts of millions around the world.

Swami Satyananda Saraswati

Sri Swami Satyananda’s Initiation Day
A day to celebrate the invaluable contribution of Sri Swami Satyananda to humanity, which falls into three main categories. The first was his revival of yoga into a practical, systematic, progressive, and scientific system easily accessible to our modern world.

The second was his selfless service, and ability to inspire others to serve the society without expectations, and the third was his ability to transform the tradition of sannyasa to suit the needs of contemporary society where he initiated foreigners and many women into this age-old tradition.

He (Swami Satyananda) is a pillar of the divine life mission. May God bless him with health, long life, peace, prosperity and eternal bliss.
Swami Sivananda Saraswati

Bhakti is total surrender. It is complete fusion of individual awareness into supreme awareness. When you love someone and you lose yourself in him or her, not only on the physical or the emotional plane, but totally, even the ego becomes fused and completely lost. That is called bhakti.
