Swami Om Murti Saraswati

Swami Om Murti Saraswati graduated from the Department of Social Anthropology at the Aegean University in Lesvos, Greece in 1994. It was while she was there that she developed an interest in how people think and act and it was this interest that led her to pursue yoga.

In 1991 she began practicing the Satyananda system of Yoga and has been an ashram resident at Satyanandashram Hellas, Paiania, Greece, since 1998. In 2006, she completed her teacher training under the supervision of Swami Sivamurti Saraswati and was initiated in Poorna sannyasa in 2006 by Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati.

She has been involved in a variety of ashram departments over the years and in 2017, undertook the role of ashram president. She has attended a variety of Yogic Lifestyle and Sannyasin training courses over the last 20 years in Greece, including a number of Yogic studies courses in Greece and teacher in – services. In 2019 she commenced the Yogic Studies Course under the guidance and training of Satyananda Yoga Academy Europe.

She specializes in giving talks and seminars on seva yoga and how to incorporate the attitude of seva into one’s lifestyle. She is also interested in Mantra yoga. She regularly connects with the source of the tradition in India by travelling to the ashrams in Munger and Rikhia.

She is also a member of the Hellenic Union of Teachers trained in the Satyananda system of yoga.
