Swami Shambhujyoti Saraswati

After Swami Shambhujyoti Saraswati graduated from AKTO school in 1983 (interior architecture, decoration and object design) and from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (graphic design and aesthetics), she developed an interest in yoga and went on to complete the teacher training course under the guidance of Swami Sivamurti Saraswati in 1989. She was initiated in Poorna sannyasa by Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati in 2000.

As an ashram resident since 1989, she has been involved in the running of many of the ashram departments, including the accommodation, secretarial and Education departments. Over these last three decades, she has attended a variety of sannyasin training courses and in-services seminars and continuously strives to deepen her knowledge of yoga.

Her interests lie in teaching Hatha and Kriya yoga, pranayama, shatkarmas, Yoga and Ecology. She also co-conducts seminars in various cities in Greece.
Over the last fifteen years, she has organized the Greek Teacher training courses which were conducted in the ashram.

She teaches in the Paiania ashram and the Satyananda Yoga meditation centers and is also member of the board of directors of the ashram.

She connects with the source of the tradition in India by travelling to Rikhia and Munger ashrams and is a member of the Hellenic Union of Teachers trained in the Satyananda system of yoga.
